This is a story starts with an overweight southern woman, who witnesses a murder, and is forced to 
testify against the man who did it. The man is sent to jail, and puts a hit on the woman. She knows 
this, so, she fakes her death, and moves away.

After some time the man is out of jail, and the woman has changed her appearance. She's lost the weight 
and the accent, and changed the color of her hair and eyes. She decides to move back to see how close 
he is to finding her. She gets a job working for him. He meets her, but doesn't know who she really is. 
They start going out and things get serious. He asks her to marry him, and that's when she comes clean 
about who she really is. He gets mad and storms out in disbelief.

In the car he gets a call from his father letting him know the woman who put him in jail has been found, 
and is being taken care of as they speak. The man tells his father to call off the hit. He turns his car 
around back to the woman's home, only he's too late. She has been murdered.

Two shady characters come together in this psychological thriller. He’s the high-flying 'Don' 
of the underworld. She’s a call girl trapped due to circumstances. They fall in love. He frees 
her from a life of promiscuity, bringing her home only to discover a shocking reality. She 
thinks he's a businessman, unaware of his dealings. She possesses a kind of sensuality that has 
the power to overwhelm, vulnerability that makes you want to protect her. But being use to the 
life he is, he continues to kill, gamble, and pursue women. But takes good care of her. He feels 
guilty about this, but is so much into the world of crime that these things seem normal to him. 
When she finds out his true identity we see her personality change. She’s jealous, and wants to 
get rid of him because she can't stand betrayal. Her one action seems unrelated to the next. 
When he finds out, nobody believes him because he’s a ‘Don’ and he could die any day. She kills 
him and makes it look like a murder. She’s been tracing his activities and knows more about him 
than he himself does.

The moral of the story - If you play with fire you will get burnt.

Twenty one year old Joanne Wentworth is the only witness to a murder, which took place before 
she was born.

During her twenty-first birthday party Joanne looks out of her lounge window and sees a woman 
being strangled by a short, red-haired man. Despite her pleas, to a room full of partygoers, no 
one else believes her. Upon investigation by the local police no evidence of a crime can be 
found. After visiting her doctor, who tries to convince her that what she saw was an 
hallucination, Joanne relates her experience to her old friend, a newspaper reporter, who 
decides to investigate further. He eventually discovers that a murder did take place exactly as 
Joanne saw it, and in the very same location. However, it happened on the day before Joanne was 
born. 

Joanne is talked into seeing a psychiatrist, who is proficient in hypnotherapy, and undergoes 
hypnotic regression. During the session it comes to light that Joanne is not the person who 
actually saw the murder take place, it was her mother. She is carrying certain memories, which 
were passed on to her shortly before her mother's accidental death. 

Joanne was officially an orphan. She was born only one hour before her mother died in hospital 
from a serious, accidental head wound. Her mother was carrying no identity on her at the time of 
her hospitalisation as she was running from the murderer. No one was able to trace the identity 
of Joanna's mother, as she was not from the local area. With the help of the psychiatrist, and 
through hypnosis, Joanna tries to find out more about her mother, father and, possibly, the 
identity of the killer.

Dyslexia, our lives 

The story line is about a learning disability called dyslexia. It is a story of both courage 
and the failure and how society can either help or destroy the life of someone with a learning 
disability. 

The main character, a published author and speaker on the topic of dyslexia, lived through 
considerable tribulation during both his childhood and teenage years. He explains how he 
overcame being told he was mentally incapable of functioning in school, to achieving a Master's 
Degree in Business Administration. In contrast the other main character is a person of where
family, school and society failed. Though she is a survivor, she had significant struggles and 
hardships. It depicts the hearts of many and how damaging words and teasing can be truly hurtful, even to the point of
suicide. 

This story will entertain all viewers as it brings to light how to help someone with disabilities
have a successful life. The setting starts off in a radio station interview with both characters 
taking turns speaking of their lives and the difficulties and strengths of being dyslexic. Major 
flashbacks to the main characters life’s throughout the story. In between the main characters 
comments and flashbacks, the story line uses caller’s stories and flashbacks to clearly describe
the attitudes of both the teacher and the student of whom each personal story is about.

The story portrays the positive and negative roles and their effects on the dyslexic. This story 
will give a large amount of important and useful information in a very entertaining way by using 
real life stories.

I think a good idea for a movie would be a story about 4 guys (best friends) who venture to 
Las Vegas for the first time. There ages would be 21-22 years old. So this would be and eye 
opening experience for them. 

There is so many things that could happen to 4 guys in Vegas. They could indulge in drugs, 
prostitutes, and all the other vice's that Vegas has to offer. 

It could be made as a comedy, as the 4 friends get into harmless trouble. Funny things could 
happen to them during there 4 days in vegas. Or it could be made as a drama or dark comedy
(along the lines of the movie Very Bad Things) It could show how Vegas could swallow 4 immature 
young men. They would completely indulge themselves in the Vegas lifestyle, SEX, DRUGS, and 
GAMBLING. 

If the role of the 4 friends were played by young Hollywood actors with good looks, I think this 
movie would work. It would appeal to young guys and to women. This idea is based on my first 
time in Vegas With my 3 friends, so I could go on for ever!! But the instructions said to keep 
this short!!!

Destination: Paradise

A sitcom concept By Jim Idema


The concept is one of a large hotel in Hawaii, probably on Oahu, where the stern but tough hotel 
manager has to deal with juggling the day-to-day functions of a major hotel in Hawaii. At the 
same time, this manager has to deal with a "colorful" staff (desk clerks a little too perky, a 
wisecracking "street smart" maintenance man, overly-motherly black head of housekeeping, a gay 
concierge who's "one popup shy of annoying," and a tour guide who is a little too "helpful"), 
and a host of weekly "interesting" guests (think 'Love Boat') ranging from the stereotypical 
(imagine overweight, cream white, Midwesterners clad in plaid) to the computer geek convention 
(some of whom might accidentally insert a virus in the hotels system that erases all records 
and plays Barney's "I Love You" as it does so) to a recently divorced mother of three just 
trying to get away, but finding instead a new "energy" in her young kids, and a new "someone" 
for herself). Maybe a storyline could also be developed using Hawaii's huge complement of 
military personnel. 

The backdrop of "Destination: Paradise" is of Hawaii's beaches, palm trees, nightlife and music, 
not to mention lots of hulas, surfers, pineapple drinks, seductive breezes and cultural life. 
Its intent is to feed the dream of the average Joe who may not have ever visited Hawaii, or who 
has and longs to go back. The appeal is across the board since people of all ages, races and 
religions either wants to visit or wants to go back. 

Ideally, local talent and resources could and should be used to save money, though if not 
available, can be obtained from pretty much anywhere.

PRINCE GAY
Type Teen Comedy
Pitch All ages especially to teens 

In a country ruled by a royal family and old traditions , weddings are concluded as strategic 
partnerships and settled at a very young age.

Prince Inokent of Storia, who has studied in the states since he was 5 yrs old, is summoned back 
to honor his father arranged marriage to neighboring kingdom, princess Ekatherina of Wyles.

The big problem; Inokenti is in love with another girl and does not want to go ahead with this marriage. 
To make things worst, his love is new found and has not have the proper time to be fully explored. 

The contract made stipulates that any default by any party will mean that the kingdom of the defaulter 
will be annexed to the other kingdom .

Of course, there are clauses and after consulting the contract without the knowledge of his parents, 
Inokenti finds that if he has an unusual orientation, this clause allows a safe way out of the wedding.

Seeking the help of some friends, he decides he must learn to become gay . He decides to spend 
some time in the company of gays, inviting his parents to America to see the not so traditional 
orientation of his.

Unconvinced that his son is gay for serious, a beholder is assigned to watch and report his sons life. 
Trying to make this big lie stick, Inokenti is forced to change his life and redefine his relationships, 
when society know of his gayness. 

His world around him is now convinced that this was Inokenti's big secret and that he decided to 
finally come out.

Teased by girls and society of this new development ,tough times arise especially when his real love 
starts to question their relationship which has not been too long. She fears of deception from 
Inokenti thinking that she was chosen so he could look normal.

Title: Eternal Love 

Quick Summary: A story of love that transcends time and death. Young lovers, Brentan and 
Mallory, in the early 1800’s are torn apart by betrothment. Death separates them once but 
when their souls are reborn they get a second chance for love. 


Characters: 

Brentan Ellis- (Brent in present day) is a young man in his late teens-early twenties. Of 
average build and height his most predominant feature is his eyes. Brentan is a very caring, 
loving, and sincere person; his eyes express his emotions. 

Mallory Parker- is a young woman in her late teens. She is also of average build and height 
but with a very innocent beauty and charm; her most predominant feature is her long thick 
brown hair. Mallory is a loving, timid, insightful person with a soft wild side. Fenton Drake 
Dugan - is an older gentleman in his early thirties. A tall and slender man with graying hair 
and sullen eyes. Dugan is a very bitter and cold person. 


The story Starts in the early 1800’s with Brentan Ellis and Mallory Parker, a young couple in 
love. Only in order for Mallory’s family to keep their land, Mallory must marry Fenton Drake 
Dugan, the Parker’s landlord. 

After Brentan learns of this demand he arranges a secret wedding in the forest for him and 
Mallory. Dugan interrupts their secret wedding and takes Mallory away. When Mallory refuses to 
comply with his wishes he goes to kill her but she beats Dugan to it, Brentan sees this from 
outside the window. Brentan then commits suicide. 

Jump ahead to present day. A young man, Brentan reborn, awakes from a dream, which is the tale 
of his previous life with Mallory. In another city a young woman, Mallory reborn, is telling 
the same tale to a friend. Both Brentan and Mallory think that their recurring dreams are 
meaningless. That is, until the tale consumes their lives. 

Both characters search for clues as to the meaning of their dreams and cross each other’s 
paths many times in the process. They sense each others presence yet don’t know exactly what 
it means. Eventually both of the characters stumble across an old book, which is their tale. 

Jump back in time. Before Brentan’s death he left his journal, some money and a letter for 
Mallory’s family. The journal tells of their love, the money is to pay for the Parker’s land, 
and the letter asked the family for forgiveness. Eventually the Parkers would put their story 
into a book. 

Brentan goes to find the statue of Mallory; the statue was Brentan’s final wish in his letter. 
Brentan lays flowers at the statues feet and out from behind the statue walks Mallory. They 
know each other in an instant and they begin their second chance at love.

It is about a man and a woman who commit crimes to get money for drugs. Then the girl gets 
pregnant with his baby, and they decide to give it up for the baby. The man tries to get a 
regular job but has problems keeping them and occasionally does crime to get money. 

When the baby is born the doctor tells them that she has a minor heart problem. As the girl gets 
older her heart gets worse. Unable to keep a stable job the man commits a crime to get money to 
pay the doctor bills. The police catch the man and he is sent to jail. The woman visits him in 
jail and tells him that the girl is getting worse. 

When the girl is about 4 years old the man is told that his daughter is on life support and 
needs a heart transplant to live. The woman goes to visit him and tells him that she is going 
to take her off life support because she doesn't want her to suffer, but he asks her to wait one 
more week to see if a miracle happens. 

After four days of planning the man escapes from jail and goes to the hospital where his 
daughter is. Then at gunpoint he gets a doctor to check if he is a match for his daughters 
transplant. He is a match and then lets the doctor go and stays with his daughter. When the 
police arrive they find him dead but he is holding her hand. The daughter is then saved and 
grows up healthy knowing how far her dad went to save her life.

Title: Straight Man in the Closet

Plot: Single Man with live-in girlfriend pretends to be gay to get a job as a fashion critic at a top 
television station. 

Story: It's 2003 and the economy is terrible. Jeff has been laid off from his top paying engineering job. 
He and his girlfriend, Sherri, are close to exhausting their savings and losing their lavish downtown 
apartment. After a year of not finding any work in his field, Jeff is desperate for anything. Sherri,
hoping to break into the fashion industry as a designer, tailors an outlandish suit to help Jeff 
stand out on his next job interview. Jeff mistakenly goes to the wrong address and is mistaken for 
being gay at the casting agency and offered a job as a fashion consultant for a television program 
that performs makeovers. 

Jeff  becomes famous and must now pretend to be gay even though he has a girlfriend who helps 
him behind the scenes. They must keep their relationship a secret from everyone including close 
friends and neighbors. This causes constant frustration for Jeff to keep his heterosexuality in 
the closet and also for Sherri to never be recognized 
for her designing skills and talents.

the morals and values typified by the 1950s, like Mayberry, where Andy Griffith was the local sheriff. Now, 
current time, a man, Darrel Hannah, is so caught up in his business life that he loses his wife and children 
(divorced) and hides his feelings in alcohol and drugs. He rides out one night, loses control of his VW and is 
rescued by people from New Harmony. He is enamored by the people, the place, and their values, and decides try and 
bring his family into this community.

Normandy Trailer Park of Peoria, Illinois is the most low-down, dark, depressing, Jerry Springer, bizarre place in 
the world. Or one of them. This story takes place in August 1992.

Jeff is a lonely, quiet resident, just looking for a life. Things are boring but not for long. When Jeff meets a 
sooth-saying bum outside a Laundromat that can get him his true love, things change. Jeff is sent with guided rules
to achieve this dream.

Jeff meets Stephanie, a beautiful, lively resident. He will do almost anything the sooth-sayer says to get her, 
even if it takes car wrecks, tornados, and burning trailers to realize that they are meant for each other.

So Jeff is on a mission to get his and her lives back, and go to a place far from Peoria, or a run down trailer 
court and a beat up Cadillac. But to win the girl of his dreams he has to make one last decision…to listen to the 
man who has never let him down, or listen to his heart.

Two mis-matched teens find true love in a crude tin hell.

Other highlights of this story is Jeff talking to his best friend David about issues, and having to listen to his 
veteran neighbor speak of the war.

Precession 

Near Future;


Main Character: 30 yr-old female scientist, is investigating ‘sprites’ (electromagnetic emissions from 
thunderstorms that shoot miles upwards into the stratosphere when lightning occurs).

Through investigations using satellite-based experimental equipment, it transpires sprites are merely 
the by-product of previously undetected highly directional bursts of sub-atomic particles that travel 
outwards from the planet at light-speed, and contain massive amounts of apparently encoded information 
(repeated patterns, mathematical constructs etc).

Following collaboration with ex-love interest (in nearby observatory) it emerges that these signals are
 being directed at other worlds on which electrical storm activity also occurs; furthermore, closer 
investigation of traditionally discarded ‘white noise’ from various neutrino traps indicates that similar 
signals are being received from those worlds.

Main character publishes a representation of a strong theme from the data on the internet, in a long-shot 
attempt to contact anyone with knowledge of the numbers, and is contacted by crazed maths genius who has 
been hacking into neutrino trap databases in his spare time, and decoding the data. His algorithms translate 
the data as containing (amongst other stuff) information about molecular structures, chemical compounds 
and DNA.

Enter government special unit, who have been investigating the same phenomenon, and hacking into maths 
genius’ system to monitor his progress and communications. Unit attempts to assassinate main character 
and mad genius in order to control the spread of information – who are saved by love interest, who happened 
to be visiting, and (as we discover earlier) keeps a hunting rifle in his jeep.

All escape to another scientist friend’s observatory, and hack into genius’ system and main character’s 
databases in a frantic attempt to understand signals, and discover that apparently, Earth itself is transmitting 
statistics about pollution,fossil fuel use, ambient radioactivity, rate of extinction of Terran species, rate of 
human reproduction (etc.) to other planets.

Replies from most worlds are mathematically pure, with harmonic content that seems soothing and sympathetic, 
but some worldsare transmitting the opposite – and Earth is spending more and more time communicating with 
those worlds.

Rest of film centres around the deliberate exposure of the information through the media, and the resultant political 
activity to reform energy, pollution and defence policies in a desperate attempt to avoid the expected Armageddon.

This movie would be about a new phenomenon that appears suddenly, unexpected, as no one knew that 
something like this would actually happen. 

Written during current times, the story would entail details of current events. Even actual events, but not 
necessarily. Mideast, wars in Iraq and looming events in North Korea. While all this is going on, one thing is 
for sure - new cell phones WILL be activated. Radio Station broadcasts have filled the air for decades. 
Television, Satellite and even cable transmissions all add up to a tremendous amount of intangible "space" 
that is sturring around constantly every minute of every day. 

With new technologies, cell phones, instant "walkie talkie"transmissions, added with the thousands if not 
millions of new cell phone activation's that happen every day, at some point.. this new phenomenon would rear its 
ugly head. Because of the fact that we on Earth have basically "run out of room" for more radio signals and 
something happens. This even would almost be a "a religous" type event. The phenomenon could happen for 
many reasons. Radiation coming from the cell phone, increased all the sudden due to the lack of actual 
"space" or bandwidth. Non-explanable. 

At once, millions of people dissapear from the face of the Earth. Most think it is the Rapture. Holy leaders 
wonder why "they" were not a part of the "chosen." All the wrong people left us. Drug dealers, Wall Street 
executives, those who don't believe - but the one thing they had in common was - they were all on a cell phone 
when it happened. From what we "think" is the almighty rapture, the loss of a million folks,going through 
whatever they do each day, to the discovery of a phenomenon that we had no idea was going to happen.

NO DOUBT GUILTY

(FICTION)

 This story is about a black man that is wrongly accused of murder due to overwhelming evidence found 
at the crime scene. However, to a greater degree it is about James Mayo, a young college dropout.James is 
19 years old and managed to getin two years at MTSU in criminal investigation before he was forced to stand 
down for financial reasons. James wouldhave liked to become a policeman but he couldn’t pass the physical. 
His father, a policeman, had been killed in the lineof duty while serving with his older brother John.

This uncle, an investigator with the sheriff’s department, pulled some strings to get James a temporary job 
with the county. His job title is clerk but no one seems to mind that he is working with John.  James is somewhat 
of a nerd. Very intelligentbut blessed with autistic tendencies.  John Mayo only intended to use the young man as 
a gofer but soon found that Jameshad a natural instinct for the job.

In the course of the murder investigation, James’s keen eye and education begin to pay off for the man that 
is wrongly accused.  As the young man matures, he brings profound changes to the lives of many people.  
Due to his efforts, thewrongly charged man is cleared.

 This story intertwines people from all walks of life, doctors, lawyers, politicians, mechanics and students.  
It involves the veryrich and the very poor in a small town setting. There are touching lighthearted humorous 
moments peppered into thisserious but believable story.

 With a total of three murders, drug deals, scams and auto thefts, there is constant suspense along with 
believable scenariosas James works with his uncle to clear one man while getting other criminal elements 
off the streets.  There is an evenflow to the story as each crime is related in some way to the initial car 
jacking

live life to its fullest and we didn’t miss a beat. The only thing that kept us alive was a combination of luck and our 
natural ability to fly.

How to Survive Heaven
copyright 1986

It is a humorous fantasy adventure story aimed at the young adult market. Learning that you are on your way to 
Heaven is good. Getting lost on your way to Heaven is not so good. Discovering a plot by Satan to attack Heaven 
is bad. Having to save Heaven with little or no help, well, that what this story is about. 

The story begins when Ralph, a guide sent by Heaven meets Bill, a new arrival. At the airport to Heaven Bill 
meets Rich, also a new arrival. Once they reach Heaven they get lost in the backlands of Heaven. They find 
their only way back to Heaven is by going through Hell. Lucky for them Hell has been closed due to the high 
cost of heating oil, or so they thought. While in Hell they rescue Mary Lou and uncover a plot by Satan to 
attack Heaven. Using the red toilet paper from Hell they manage to thwart the attack and save Heaven. 

Finally in Heaven they meet Tom who is also a new arrival and discover a clue indicating a new attack on Heaven 
is in progress by Satan. Having gotten themselves in trouble with the police they must now save Heaven alone. 
Their efforts take them through the underground river to the main power plant in Heaven where they must 
defuse a bomb before it is too late. 

In the course of their adventure the characters meet a tyrannosaurus rex, the Loch Ness monster, 
Napoleon Bonaparte and others. They learn what really happened on the day of creation, why Hell 
installed high-speed elevators and other interesting Heavenly facts.

Thirty six seconds

A hungry Jack Bridge in the Amazon jungle eats a plant. A little later in a nearby village while talking 
with the local Chief, Jack experiences an "out of body" experience. His mind can see and experiences what 
the Chief is going to say,in the brief future. Within a half a minute Jack's mind returns to the present time. 
He realizes he can separate his mind from his body allowing his mind to travel to the future but only 
for thirty six seconds. 

Back in the States Jack is growing the plant in the basement of his house. He is studying, talking to Buddhist 
priests to learn more about mind body separations. In a restaurant Jack baffles the barman by being able to 
predict the orders of the customers."I can read people" he claims. 

Jack is experiencing financial problems and in an obvious way to exploit his new found abilities he goes to the 
Casino. He experiences great success at the Blackjack table, the casino owners are concerned and suspicious. 
They hire a private detective, Wilbur Hatton, to find out more about Jack Bridge. Breaking into the house Hatton 
finds the plants growing in the basement. Later Jack and his girl friend, Laura, take the plant drug together. 
We realize as they return from their brief future mind travel that all is not normal. 

Jack now has mental characteristics obtained from Laura, their personalities are fragmenting, Each time they 
travel together into the near future and return their personalities become intermixed. 

Laura and Jack plan a dinner party and spike the drinks with the drug, the result is a hilarious conversation with 
10 people each able to predict conversations. The detective Hutton is closing in on the secret of the jungle plant.

After Life

Imagine living in a world where the human life span is 75 years and you know at birth the exact day you will die. 
Human life has always been this way since recorded history, predicted life and death have become the norm and 
everyone has accepted it. Now imagine if one person lived passed their 76th birthday. His extended life is complicated 
with heartache, betrayal and corruption, which result's in near suicide, revenge and murder. When asked about his 
after life experience, he responded, "I'd be better of dead".

I am in high school, I'm about to graduate though, and im a football player. 2 years ago, a friend/teamate 
of my named Brandon Billings was shot and killed 2 days after our game against our biggest rivals, 
Grayson County. 

Billings was a big part of our team. He was all district the year before, but our record before was like 1-4. 
But after his death we rolled off 5 strait wins and won the district championship. We lost in the playoffs, 
but still brandon billings is what pushed us to win the distric. 

I have thought for years that this would make a really good move, sort of like Friday Night Lights and

I am currently working on a book entitled "From Illegal to Princeton and Harvard".  

It is a true-life story of my life. Briefly, it is the story of how a thirteen year old boy from a poor 
family in Colombia comes to the United States illegally, learns English, excels in school, graduates as 
the Valedictorian, and gets accepted to Princeton University, followed by Harvard Medical School.  

The story begins in one of the poorest, and most dangerous towns in Medellin, Colombia, where I grew up.  
It details the struggles of my parents, my family and myself in a town where the only people who became 
successful had to join some kind of drug-trafficking related activity. 

It follows with the hazards of coming here alone at the age of thirteen in a small boat which crossed from a 
small island in the Bahamas (Bimini), to the coast of Florida. This was a dramatic trip during the month of 
September in a corner of the Bermuda Triangle. The story continues with the struggles of living in America 
as an Illegal alien for nine years, including getting accepted to Princeton. 

Further details are included of my work at Princeton which leads to the University awarding me the highest 
distinction that the university gives to a graduating Senior, followed by getting accepted to Harvard Medical 
School.  The process of gaining my legal residency involved support from then New Jersey Governor Thomas 
Kean, and Senator Bill Bradley. 

I am currently a heart surgeon in New York, working on the manuscript, but I am looking for a possible 
movie or TV producer that may have interest in developing this kind of idea.

THE PHANTOM OF THE SUPERMARKET

This is an idea for a very funny skit or even series of skits throughout a comedy series. 
(The ideal central character of the Phantom of the Supermarket would have to be Rowan Atkinson.)

The fundamental theme is the Phantom who lurks in all sorts of places and hideaways throughout the supermarket 
as shopping just goes on as per normal day to day.

The essence is that of the Phantom who has a twisted belief and strategy that he can somehow benefit from 
stealing items off shoppers and out of their baskets and trolleys.

The ironies of this plot and countless variations of sub-plots are;

·         All these items are readily available to the Phantom off the shelves but that’s not the point.

·         He has this twisted and mischievous mindset which sees his desires being fulfilled through the confusion that he creates by 
deviously using all sorts of tricks to steal the items off shoppers.

·         There is of course no real advantage to him as regardless of who has the items (him or the shoppers), there is 
always the checkouts which lay ahead but he’s never interested in taking it to that point.

·         The thrill of the hunt for the Phantom involves new tricks, new disguises, and new types of confusion to the shoppers.   

The Phantom knows no bounds to his plots, disguises (as a fellow shopper, lurker, staff member), hideaways (under display stands, 
amongst the vegetables, a hand appearing from behind a shelf of tins, nothing is too devious for him) and of course there’s the problem of 
what does he do with the stuff after he’s filched it from the customers?

It’s an ongoing exercise in futility ………. to all but ……… The Phantom of the Supermarket!
