Hollywood Producers are always on the lookout for property for their next 
movie production.  Whether it be in areas of personal or real estate .... 
producers must seek out and acquire property before and sometimes even after 
the film goes into production.

Producers hire location scouts who scout out various locations around the globe 
and then report back to the producer. Whether it be a house, apartment, store, 
farm, warehouse or whatever,  location scouts will come to you and say 
something like ..."Gosh, you sure have a nice store - it's a great location too.  
Would you be interested in renting it to Stephen Spielberg for an upcoming picture 
he's working on?"  Or, and quite often - People contact the location scout directly 
and say ... "I have a huge Farm in Central California.  It's quite large with a lot of 
open acreage - and it's available for rent if a producer is interested in using it in a 
movie." Producers also need personal property.  Such as - boats, cars, planes, 
special equipment or whatever.  These properties are usually handled by the 
property master.  And personal property is usually acquired in the same fashion 
as real estate property.
